I read about mapping that isn’t just lines, but words and symbols. They aren’t maps anyone can read maybe, but if it is made for you, you will know exactly how to get there.  I thought of a place, there, and made some maps.  Sometimes I think about what it means to know a place, and to me, it would be to hide 20 things where another person could find some but not all of them.  There, I know those places: something hidden at the bottom of a Botan box, in the teapot that mom grew up with, taped to the inside of the lampshade that sat on the porch of Poplar St. for way too long.  Here, I don’t know those places, yet. Here, and there, are places that shift. I miss there, I am learning here, and someday, I will be able to write maps for where I am now.
